After taking a photo of the cake balls that I showed yesterday, one of our guests suggested that my husband take a photo of me working away in the kitchen. So naturally he obliged.
When friends come to our house for dinner, they know that the food will not be all prepared and ready to serve when they arrive. The food preparation process will be part of the entertainment, usually with the guests joining in to help.
It helps to have friends who enjoy cooking and are really good cooks.
By the way, the painting at the top right above the kitchen sink is the Promenade de la Croisette in Cannes, France, which Dave and I visited on our honeymoon.

You are correct about the benefits and pleasure of having friends who like to cook and are good at it.
We sure cooked up a great meal last night, didn't we? The one you have pictured here had plenty of kitchen helpers before the meal was done.
