When I was there in 1952 and we would drive down to Mexico for some Whiskey (not me but the people I rode with), that mission was way out of town. I remember we could see it on the highway off to the left on our way down and on our right on the way back.
I hear that Tucson is grown up since I was there and we have friends who left here many years ago and have lived in Tucson. I will have to ask and see how big Tucson is now.
This shot is spectacular. Thanks for lovely words on my blog. Sitting at a restaurant on the wharf at Woolloomooloo and watching the fruit bats fly away from the botanical gardens in the evening must have been a great sight. I've witnessed them from a few different vantage points around Sydney. Cheers.
What a gorgeous image. The light with the cross and the clouds is simply stunning. I thought at first it was your Theme Day post and the cross is wood but then looked at the date. I'll be back...

Yes, it's a great time to capture photos (if you have a good camera ;) ).
Oh wow, that's two crosses like they were in a conversation. Marvellous.
Were you outside when you took this, Julie? Or behind glass of some sort?
OH! Gorgeous.
Wonderful image! This is a great time to make pictures IMHO. That glow in the sky is fantastic.
Beautiful shot, really great!
Very nice light on the crosses. Great shot.
PAK is right that it is a good time for photos if you have a good camera, but I would also add that you need a good tripod as well.
Very interesting objects in this photo! The wolf moon this month has been spectacular. Did you get any good shots of it?
Wow! This is really nice!
You said, "San Xavier Del Bac in Tucson."

Great moon and clouds in this shot.

Fantastic moon shot! That was a very good catch with the dark hill and the cloud. The two blue reflections add mystery...
Three Rivers Daily Photo
That's a soothing sight, I like seeing all the people about in the enlargement.

It looks like you weren't alone. Beautiful shot Julie. What a moon.

Really lovely, the bright crosses with a bright moon. Love the sky details too.

That is a spectacular shot Julie! It is so perfect that it almost doesn't look real. Thanks for sharing it!
