School children in Arizona learn that our economy was historically based on the "five C's." Cattle, copper, cotton, citrus, and climate. The economy is more diversified today, but the five C's re still important.
Today's photo shows a cluster of grapefruit ripe for picking in the Valley. There used to be citrus packing operations in the Valley, but they have largely been replaced by homes that have gobbled up the firmer citrus groves.
