When Dave called me from the spice aisle at the supermarket with some questions, he mentioned that Safeway was having a sale on spices so if you buy two, you get a third spice bottle free.
I looked at my spice containers and decided that all of them were old and told Dave to buy new bottles to replace them all. When he got home, we dumped the old spices out, washed all of my Tupperware spice containers, and restocked the spice containers.
This provided the excuse for Dave to place all of the Tupperware spice container lids into a bowl and snap this strange still life photo. The color of these lids reflects that the Tupperware is about 30 years old, but I think they will last at least another 30 years.
Today is Sunday, so we have new photos posted on our Viva la Voyage travel photo site. This week we are showing photos of Gibraltar, a very unusual place that we visited during a day trip from Marbella, Spain.

When Dave sent this photo before the dinner party I had no idea what they were. Now I know and they still look a bit strange in that bowl.
I think your first sentence sums it up. This is a goofy photo. And it required the rest of your explanation.
My first idea when the picture opened: flip flops! :-)
This makes a curious photo. Remember those old puzzles of various items and you would try to guess what they were? You would never guess this.
