Photo: Performers at P.F. Chang's Rock & Roll Marathon

Rather than live bands, this year they had high school cheerleaders stationed a different spots along the marathon route, with large speakers blaring  music  These high school girls were dressed up like a rock band and they lip synced to the music blaring from nearby speakers.

That is interesting, but in Connecticut, the best races have live bands stationed along the course. They add a lot to the fun and excitement. I would need to hear and see these girls to see how they stack up to live bands.
