Photo: Soft morning light on the balloon and red landscape

As the sun got a little higher in the sky, the soft light made Sedona's red dirt glow.  The Arizona Diamondbacks baseball team changed their colors a few years ago to what they call "Sedona red."  The red is iron that has oxidized.  In other words, it is similar to rust.
