Photo: Fatal Sweat Lodge

This is a closer view of the sweat lodge compound where three people died.  I do not know if this is the same sweat lodge where the fatalities occurred.  I hope not.  I hope that people are not having ceremonies in the same spot where others died.

Sedona attracts lots of "new age" followers.  Many people consider Sedona to be the site of vortexes that channel energy.  The new age followers add to the diversity of the community, which also features artists, retirees, and ranchers.  Senator John McCain has a home very close in this area.
