Today's worldwide Daily Photo Theme is "Cobblestones." Scottsdale is too new to have true cobblestone streets, but in some neighborhoods, including ours the streets are made of brick pavers.
This is a photo of a portion of the driveway of our home. We have brick pavers in a herringbone pattern. I realized last evening after dinner that I did not have any photos for the April 1 theme day, so I went our my front door and took this photo with about a 30 second exposure, using the our garage lights to illuminate the driveway.
The specks that you see on the paver bricks are bits of leaves from the Argentine mesquite trees that are reflecting a bit of light.
Today is Sunday, so we have new photos posted on our Viva la Voyage travel photo site. This week we are showing scenes of Peggy's Cove, a picturesque fishing village on the coast of Nova Scotia. It is often photographed, but I tried to capture some images that would be of interest even if you have seen other photos of Peggy's Cove previously.
The City Daily Photo website was hacked and is out of order at this time, so I cannot provide a link to the normal website for checking other Daily Photo bloggers' interpretation of Theme Day this month. But here is a link to a temporary website that contains thumbnails and links to other Daily Photo bloggers' sites for the April 1 theme of cobblestones.

I am not aware of any true cobblestone streets in Scottsdale, so a photo last evening of pavers in the driveway seems to be a good substitute.
I too wondered about the spots. Interesting shot.
I think this was a challenging theme day for many of us in the States. Looks like a nice driveway.
Good choice Julie and you didn't even have to leave home.
Not bad for a last minute attempt at a very difficult theme. I like the way the light reflects on the bricks.
A well done photograph indeed.
Please have you all a good new month and week ahead.
Well done Julie, you rose to the challenge beautifully. It certainly was a challenge, for me also.
Thirty seconds! Wow. I don't think I have ever taken such a long exposure. Maybe I should experiment. (Your driveway looks very substantial.)
I like the lighting in this pic...I have not seen cobblestone anything in Arizona to date, this is a close second!
A generic for cobblestones! :-)
