This is one of the white sidewall tires on the Mercury being loaded into the truck as shown in yesterday's photo. They don't make tires like this for new cars, but they look great on classic cars.
I do take the appearance of the sidewalls on my car seriously. Once my husband had to buy two new tires and he could not get tires that matched the other two tires already on my car. His solution was to have two tires that matched on one side, and two tires that matched on the other side. He explained that no one could see the non-matching sidewalls at the same time.
No, that explanation did not fly with me. We had to get two more tires so that all four would match. This was a point of contention between us.
This week we are showing some photos of the colors and beauty of Nova Scotia's Cape Breton Island on our Viva la Voyage travel photo site.

If you had side walls like the ones in this photo on your car, I would make sure that all four tires matched exactly.
Nice looking sidewalls.
Beautiful! They knew how to build cars, and tires!
A little bit risky for the AZ dust and dirt but man...I'd love to sport those out in this paradise.
I love those big white white-walls.
