Many of you have asked about the dust storm we had in this area two weeks ago. We were in Costa Rica so we missed the experience but had to deal with the aftermath of dust very deep everywhere.
The layers of dirt in the pool have taken a full two weeks to get out of the pool.
The yard and plants and truly everything have layers of dirt on them. the you tube videos of the bizarre sandstorm are so unique and well captured. I have never heard of anything thing like this and have lived here my whole life.

Bonjour dear Julie,
Your posts are always full of great energy and so beautiful pictures.
Amazing flower!
Léia - Bonjour Luxembourg
The floral of your area is so different from here in the Northeast. I see so much on these blogs.
The flower is gorgeous! Love the gradation from red to yellow :D
It is good that you took your flower photo after a rain and not after a dust storm. I am in favor of being in Costa Rica during every dust storm in Arizona.
Very pretty Julie!
Beautiful shot. I love the rosy centers of these blooms.
I just love it!
Beautiful flower Julie,I can only imagine what a dust storm like that would leave behind. I saw pictures of the actual storm, unbelievable.
We got the storm here but not as bad...LOVE that cactus flower. They are my favorite!
It always amazes me that something so delicate can be part of a cactus. Beautiful!
Gorgeous, Julie! I wonder what the cactus look like.
Regarding the sandstorm, well, the images were scary! I've only seen it in photos or documentaries in african countries like Niger or Chad.
Hi Julie, I am interested in purchasing rights to your photos and can't find a way to contact you directly. Can you please email me at billsoroka@gmail.com? Thank you so much!
Dress! I want the dress like this. )) Great photo.
Yes the rain is welcomed after a dust storm and we did not get much over here so we had to use a lot of rain coming out of the hose instead...
