I really like this photo of the mountains, the bridge profile connecting the mountainsides, and the Colorado River flowing below.It is truly monumental. The span is remarkable.
The dam powers generators that provide electricity for Arizona, Nevada and California.

This does show the span of the new bridge across the canyon. It is remarkable how they design and build such structures. I would not want to be on the bridge during a bad earthquake.
