Our sunsets can be very brilliant in colors at times.Here is a photo of the Sun slipping almost out of sight at the horizon.

That was a brilliant sunset!
The dry desert air leaves the red colors stronger because moisture in the air exaggerates the blue colors, which is why things look so blue in the water.
