Now here is a photo of a bright green grasshopper.It does not look real as it appears to be wearing lime green armour or something.
We saw the best insects while staying at Casa San Pedro Bed and Breakfast in Southern Arizona near the Mexican border.
Great photo opportunities. I need to go visit again.

I have never seen a grasshopper like this in Scottsdale. The higher altitude southern Arizona environment where this grasshopper was photographed had streams, woods, tall grasses, and the a different ecosystem than one would expect in the desert southwest.
I'm not a fan of grasshoppers but, this guy is rather colorful.
Arizona is a place of surprises around every mountain, yucca plant, and creosote bush.
Great shot. In my opinion grasshoppers appear a little bit mystic, almost extraterrestrial.
