Although Arizona has grown fast during the past 50 years, we were given a perspective on time due to our Native American heritage.
Here is a photo of the remains of a Native American cliff dwelling that dates back 1,000 years or more.
The red rock and desert varnish above the cliff dwelling also provides a reminder about time.

lovely take on the theme!
I love their color choices;very Early American!
For the Euro-centric culture prevalent in the USA, your interpretation of the theme of time highlights that we should have a much longer perspective.
Nice interpretation of time!
This is a very interesting take on the theme day. Can't imagine living there today.
Nice choice for Theme Day Julie!
Good take on time.
I've been to one of these things in Arizona, but I can't remember the name of it. Not surprising, I can hardly remember my own name.
Lovely photograph, and a nice look back in time.
Sounds as though you've been having a great time traveling about the world!
Impressive time, and impressive rock.
Anasazi?
It looks so tiny.
The person in the photo certainly shows the scale of the cliff. Until I enlarged the photo I had no sense of how large it really was.
That gives a different meaning to time, doesn't it? I love the vivid orange color.
Amazing colors. And great respond to theme day.
What wonderful color in your photo Julie. I love this place.
Looking at the original photo it sure looks massive. I wonder how life was here back then.
Julie, this is amazing! Great entry indeed.
Now I envy you: I've not been to Easter Island! :-) Can't wait to see the shots you've taken there.
Feels as if would be possible to 'step into time'. Great picture indeed !
Please have you all a good Friday.

I wonder how was it to live underneath that massive rock, source of energy or just a shelter. Beautiful and poetic image!
