Here is a photo of pods remaining from an agave stalk in the Southwest Sonoran Desert.I liked the juxtaposition of the pods in the blue sky.
They had an interesting black and yellow shade of colors.

Here in Vermont right now cottony pods of milkweed burst open in fields and the bits of milkweed fluff float through the air like little fairies.
It is a sign of the time that when I read your reference to pods the first word that popped into my mind was "ipod."
I have an agave plant in my front yard that produces these pods. Such in interesting plant.
I like the tone and feel of the photo. Quite nostalgic.
