It is a very special place. I went to this church on two different nights before dusk as I wanted to capture the changing colors of the sky in the hopes of taking some dramatic images for you to enjoy.
The church was quite a drive from my hotel. My hotel was in the Catalina Mountains.
The church is on Native American lands and is a center of activity for many who live on tribal lands as well as those who reside in the City of Tucson.

Wonderful church, looks a bit like a caramelized white cake. What would you call this style?
It's a great photo showing the wonders of nature as well as the very fine and picturesque building.
Beautiful photo of a beautiful place. It's nice to see that the scaffolding is finally down. They have been doing restoration work for a very long time.
Beautiful take. Love the tone and colors.
This photo is a real gem. I regret not being able to stop and look around when I drove through Tucson.
Beautiful shot with clouds to set it off.
What a lovely tower! The sky makes it really stand out in this shot.
That's a heavenly photo of a magnificent church, Julie! I just commented on David's blog in Costa Rica, too!
Cheers!
Magnificent details very well captured Julie!
Beautiful photo and church.
That facade is magnificent. You really have to enlarge the picture to truly appreciate it.
That is really beautiful. I wouldn't be surprised if you told us it was used in a movie or two.
Beautiful! I haven't been there since I was a child - makes me want to go back and see it again.
A very beautiful church!
The structure of the building is beautiful! I love the name, too!
