For a couple of days, I am sharing some of the birds that recently visited my yard.
This one is a cute little finch.
I do not yet have the macro techniques and patience mastered by Abe Lincoln with his phenomenal bird photos on his websites, but I hope you enjoy these flying friends just the same.
Check out the details of Venice on our travel photo site at Viva la Voyage!
I have these finches in my yard too. I also have cardinals, chickadees, titmice just to name a few! If you're interested click on the wingscapes label on the right side of my blog. I love birds and seeing all the different types people get in their yards and such. You really caught this guy very well.
I think Abe would be one of the first to say there's nothing wrong with this photo. I was thinking the other day how I should put some food out close to the windows where I can get some good photos.

I think you got a great shot of the Finch. I always get their backsides as they fly away.
Finches are hard to photograph. They are small, they do not approach humans, and they move around fast.
This is a fine shot.
I belelive that finch is blushing at having his picture taken.
I enjoy any bird pictures, so keep them coming Julie! I have some of these little guys in my backyard right now too. I think they are house finches.

We can see the flicker in its eye. It requires patience.
Nice shot Julie. I always have trouble with birds. They're just so much quicker than I. Having them at the feeder helps.
This time of year is great for watching the birds in the yard. They are on the move and we see more kinds of birds in the spring and fall in our yard.
Cute little bird. I like the capture.
This is so cute Finch!
Good shot of such a tiny bird. these guys are pretty fast.
