Today is theme day for all City Daily Photo Bloggers and the theme is Contrast. I have chosen to photograph Speed and Stillness in a southwestern setting called Cliff Dwellers.
You can see the stillness of the scene at twilight in contrast to the speed of the passing car. The car is not visible but has left its trail of headlights and taillights. I took this photo on a long exposure at twilight.

A wonderful addition to Theme Day.
Nice contrast! And, nice photo.
The contrast is good and the photo is better!!
Wow. I'm totally baffled. I'll look forward to your explanation.
This is one of my favorite photos. The trailing streak of lights from the car is like a ghost.
Great photo! Love the colors as evening is coming on. Yesterdays information was interesting.
I can't work out what the structure - or falling down structure is. I see the lights from the moving car but that 'building' looks as if it's collapsed but then what is on top? a mud roof? I want to know!!
Opposite in lights too: twilight's and car's!
very intriguing and so much better not to see the cars themselves.
Absolutely stunning! Nicely shot! What were the settings you used to shoot this one? Any filters?

What a wonderful Theme Day post Julie!
Great contrast. I love stopping at Cliff Dwellers. Sometimes the ladies are out selling their native wares.
Your photos leave such a sense of our being lone hikers, out on the trail in Arizona!
