Photo: High heels

I showed some photos of the Dining Out With the Chefs event recently at the Scottsdale Center for the Arts.

I, for one, would not find it comfortable to go to an event with lots of standing around wearing heels like this.  In fact, I do not even own any shoes like this.

I have a good excuse for not wearing shoes like this.  Rather than being motivated by my own comfort, I can pretend that I do not wear heels out of consideration for my husband, as I am 6 feet (1.83 m.) and Dave is 5 feet 10 inches !.78 m.).

This week we have photos of Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia on our Viva la Voyage travel photo site this week.

I would not wear these kind of heels but I do notice and enjoy them on others.

Terrific photo, Julie. I kind of like the heels and jeans look, but I don't have to wear them. These are the Christian L-something heels that were the subject of a fascinating trademark lawsuit this year. The court said Christian L can protect the idea of red soles on non-red shoes but anyone can put red soles on red shoes. Seemed a sensible outcome to me. (You can wear heels when talking to me . . . I'm 6'6".)

Jack's comment above about the red soles is interesting.

Those are either a very expensive pair of Christian Louboutin shoes or this person has painted the soles red to fool people. I'm with you on this fashion trend. Standing around in those shoes would be down right painful.

I love this shot -- good eye!!

Nothing wrong with a woman taller than a man. Happens to me all the time.

I wouldn't mind wearing those shoes if I were able! Too late now.
