Photo: Halftime at the Scottsdale Photo

During halftime at the Scottsdale Polo Championships, fans are invited to walk the field to stop on divots to smooth out the field.  It is a social activity, and people are dressed in style, which sometimes includes shoes that do not seem well designed to smooth out horse divots on a polo field.

Today is Sunday, so we have new photos posted  on our Viva la Voyage travel photo site.  This week we are showing some photos of the Dalmatian Coast of Croatia.

Take a look at this sports jacket on the man sitting in front of us at the Valley Broadway Series.  I don't know how many places there are that one would wear this sports jacket. Certainly not to the office for work.

My mother, Sharon, and we have season tickets for the Valley Broadway Series, which features the touring Broadway shows.  On Sunday evening, while waiting for the show Priscilla to start, Dave took this quick iPhone photo.  It was one of those instances of taking a photo that otherwise would not have been taken if not for this Daily Photo site.

Sadly, I had to make a quick business trip to Washington, D.C. on Sunday and Monday, so I missed the show, but Dave and Sharon decided to coordinate posts today to show the fashions worn by two of the members of the audience.  Check out Sharon's Phoenix Daily Photo post at this link.   She got a quick photo of a woman in the lobby before the show.

The first song and dance number of the show, Priscilla, right after intermission featured about a dozen members of the audience who the show selected at intermission.  They gave them quick instruction and guidance during the number and all of them were wonderful sports and performed well.   The man in this photo and the woman in Sharon's photo were both selected to join in the performance.

Photo: Pink Hat at Scottsdale Polo Championships

Here is another photo that I considered posting for yesterday's Theme Day of "pink."  It is also from last fall's Scottsdale Polo Championships.  The people watching at this even included lots of women in fancy hats.  I was not one of them.

Photo: Photo Lineup at High Tea at the Phoenecian

This is a view of the scene that I showed in yesterday's photo.  Dave and I were enjoying high tea at the Phoenician Resort with four dear friends, as we do every year for their birthdays, and seated near us was a group of young women celebrating a birthday.

One of the mothers at the birthday party took a photo of the group, but their shoes attracted the attention of my camera, as I showed yesterday.

I think high tea at the Phoenician is the best anywhere.  It is far superior to the fabled tea at the Peninsula Hotel in Hong Kong.  Our friends and I particularly enjoy our favorite server, Wanda, and we successfully ask her to show us photos of her grandchildren.

Here is a fun photo.  It illustrates the fashion trend of high heel shoes, which is not shared by me.  I will tomorrow show a wider view to put this scene into context.
