Photo: Off Roading at the Grand Canyon's North RIm

My step son, Stuart, and his wife and her parents enjoyed the Labor Day weekend at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon.  Only 10% of the 4 million annual visitors to Grand Canyon National Park visit the North Rim.  The North Rim closes for the winter in mid-October.

Stuart enjoys off-roading.  There are jeep trails on the North Rim where people can visit overlooks of the Grand Canyon without anyone else around.  You could never drive a vehicle for a photo like this on the South Rim, where there are shuttle bus stops and parking lots that control access.

This week we have photos of daily life in Ethiopia posted on our Viva la Voyage travel photo site.

I do love the north rim. The views up there are amazing. Years ago, I went camping there with my parents when dad and a 4-wheel drive truck and a travel trailer. That was a fun trip.
