Photo: Teddy Bear Cholla Flower

Here is a photo of a teddy bear cholla cactus bud in bloom.

I really like all the cactus in my yard. It is great to enjoy their different prickly personalities.

We have photos of street scenes and people of Grenada, Nicaragua posted this week on our Viva la Voyage travel photo site.

I wonder why they call these teddy bear cholla. They are about the worst plants to touch. Maybe it is because they cling to people, although that is achieved by the fish hook ends to their thorns.
