Photo: Desert Botanical Garden Plant Sale

In Scottsdale when people landscape a new house they face many choices about landscaping.  Some people choose desert plants, and others choose tropical plants.

The Desert Botanical Garden Plant sale, quite understandably,  features desert plants, not tropical plants.  They require a lot less water, of course.

The Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions ("CC&Rs") that are incorporated into the deed for our house require all houses in our community to have at least a certain percentage of the front yard planted with a lawn.  Nevertheless, we have mostly desert plants around our yard, although we also have some tropical plants such as a few palm trees.

This week we have photos of Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia posted on our Viva la Voyage travel photo site.

I visited this place last week, it's wonderful; great place to enjoy desert plants. Then I ate at Barrio Queen at the mall...it was good. greetings from afar.

Your yard has some great desert plants. After reading Jorge's comment above, I'm now hungry for some fantastic Barrio Queen food. I'll get to experience just that next week at the Desert Botanical Garden for the CUISINE AND CULTURE OF DÍA DE LOS MUERTOS. Silvana, the owner of Barrio Queen will be preparing the meal.
