Photo: Desert Botanical Garden Plant Sale

This weekend is the semi-annual Plant Sale at the Desert Botanical Garden.  They devote a large part of their parking lot to display thousands of plants.  On Friday the sale is reserved for Members of the DBG, and Saturday and Sunday are open to the general public.

On Friday people line up at 7:00 am to take advantage of the best selection.  Here is a photo a few minutes after opening.  As this photo shows, desert plants can indeed be colorful.

We take advantage of the DBG plant sale for both the fall and spring planting seasons.  Most of the plants in our yard have come from here.

Today is Sunday, so we have new photos posted on our Viva la Voyage travel photo site.  This week we are showing some photos of Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia, which I took last year at about this time.

Today would be the last of the plant sale, but people who wait until Sunday will have much less of a selection.
