Photo: Theme Day -- Chimneys
This row of chimeas was for sale at the Mexican market in Guadalupe, a small town comprised of Native Americans and Latinos located just south of Tempe, which is just south of Scottsdale. Guadalupe was settled by Yaqui Indians who fled oppression in their homeland of Sonora, Mexico around 1900. They have maintained their culture and have many religious celebrations.
Today is Sunday, so we have new photos posted
at Viva la Voyage! This week we are showing some more photos from my recent raft trip through the Grand Canyon.
