This is a photo of some mountainside homes in Paradise Valley, which is a little suburb between Scottsdale and Phoenix. People like to build houses on the hillsides to capture view of the desert, mountains, and city lights at night.
As this photo illustrates, even if you spend big bucks for a view lot, there is often a hillside house even higher. These homes are located on Mummy Mountain, overlooking Camelback Mountain.
This week we are showing photos of Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia, on our Viva la Voyage travel photo site.

It's nice to have a view!
Great to see you and Dave last night and talk about the trip to Italy.
I hope they continue to limit building permits for homes higher and higher up the mountain sides. There are some homes that scar the mountain side by carving driveways.
I remember Camelback Mountain when nothing was on it.
