Fish wall and Scottsdale office building

This is my final post showing the fish wall. I included this photo to show the overall scene. The flowering shrubs and palm trees are in the median strip of Goldwater Boulevard.
The office building in the background was, for decades, the tallest building in Scottsdale. Scottsdale has not had tall buildings until recently, as people want to preserve the views to the mountains.

I worked in this office building throughout most of the 1980's, in my first job after I graduated from Arizona State University. I grew up and lived in Mesa, about 10 miles east. I never imagined that 20 years later I would live just one mile from the building where I worked.

This week we are showing photos of a mussel ranch in Nova Scotia, Canada on our Viva la Voyage travel photo site.

You know it's funny..many times I've had a similar thought. I worked on Central Ave for years in 70's and I now live within walking distance of the spot (a building that is now gone). Who knew!

The warm sun and blooming plants might look enticing this time of year for people back east who have just been pelted with snow.
