Here is a macro photo of a diamond cholla cactus I planted in my backyard several years ago.I like how the sun catches the ends of the cactus spines and they look like toothpicks.
The red tiny flowers on top look like a hair-do.

This diamond cholla is unusual in the comparison of a very narrow body and very long thorns.
