They look like swirling candy or ice cream but in the colors of green and with such interesting textures.
They don't look sharp either as the fine cacti spines are not noticeable, but they are present.
You can see how prolific the cactus flowers were this year. We had so much rain in January and February this year in Arizona, creating a good environment for cactus flowers to bloom.

You show us such wonderful, beautiful, flowering cactus in the desert!
Some beautiful coloring here.
This is a splendid composition. I'm so glad you've been there with your camera capturing the blossoming of the desert this year.
With all of the extra rain in Arizona this spring, the cacti have swelled thick with stored up water, like blooming camels.
This looks like a 'bunny ears' prickly pear. I love this type even though they tend to look harmless when they really aren't.
The colors in this are really beautiful. This cactus which looks so soft has tiny spines that love to attach to your skin. They are very hard to remove as they are so small. You just have to wait until they finally work their way out.
I like the photos of your cactus - here we have only one cactus blooming every year. I have just put 4 shots on my blog (Dagens foto). Do you know the latin name of that cactus? If so, please tell - I will appreciate such an information very much.
Beautiful photo
Thank you, Julie for the comment with the name of trichocereus schickendantzii.
We have gray days with rain, and rain... (Well, I was on a small trip, yesterday, and it wasn't a gray day... but it also wasn't such colorful day.)
Beautiful colors of the cactus!
Oh, wow! We saw the Prickly Pears loaded with buds, and I wondered what they'd look like when they opened. Absolutely beautiful!
This is one of my favourite pricly pear species! Gorgeous shot!
