Echinocereus Huitcholensis

I call the flowers in this photo stunningly gorgeous!

The two cactus flowers are from the Echinocereus Huitcholensis cactus.

I showed a close up of the pistil of this cactus flower yesterday.

It is always amazing that a cactus that struggles in the desert heat produce such beautiful blooms that generally last a day or less.

Check out photos of the Hotel Del in Coronado, California at Viva la Voyage!

Gorgeous! Beautiful! Colourful! Just what I need at the beginning of a day that looks like it might just be as cold and dismal as the previous days. There's a bit of sunshine so I guess there's hope!

This photo gives even more of an appreciation for how detailed the macro photo yesterday is.

Such interesting beautiful flowers! I noticed this flower once because of their long flower stems.
