Diamond Cholla Cactus in Bloom

This macro photo is of the tip of a diamond cholla cactus in bloom.

The photo is deceiving in that the tip of this cactus is very small, less than two inches.

The tiny flower that barely bloomed at the tip of this cactus is about 1/8th inch high.

What does it remind you of?

To me it looks like it has a face. The shade of red is quite vivid.

It does look like it could be asparagus or a clown rooster.
