One of my favorite places to hike around is near the Boulders Resort and Spa and El Pedegral. I just love rocks of all sizes, shapes, and types.
Growing up in Arizona, it was a regular hobby as a kid to hike and look for colorful and interesting rocks. I always brought home interesting rocks in my pockets to add to my yard.
The geology is wonderful in Arizona. Happy Monday!
Love stones very much, as they somehow 'tell me' that there's enought time...spend the last days much with taking care of the child, his growing teeth etc. - looking at your stones gave me the idea of having more patience, as they do have it too.

These are huge rocks. Some say the rocks are parts or pieces of worn down mountains. I can't imagine it but it is possible. Nice shot.
Looks like one big rock with wrinkles.

My father always accused me of bring rocks home, too, but not in my pockets.
wow, these rocks look amazing.
I love the colors of this one. Perfect contrast between sky and boulders.
Great view of the boulders near "The Boulders Resort". I spent the weekend in Yarnell where there is an abundance of a different type of boulder.
Those are some big rocks! My 5 year old grandson would love this place. Every time we go walking he comes back with his pockets full of rocks.
I agree with you — rocks are so interesting and wonderful!
Rocks are amazing in any size and shape. This looks really a good place for rocks, huge rocks.
These rocky places seem to have a way of drawing people in, as if their energy is magnetic. Lovely peacful shot.
Yes I remember those pocketfuls of rocks
