These colorful glass spheres are part of Chihuly: The Nature of Glass Installation currently at the Desert Botanical Gardens. The art exhibition ends May 31, 2009.
You may recognize the green orb at the lower right as the Earth Day Orb I posted on Aril 22 for Earth Day.

I love Chihuly glass art. We have a huge installation at the San Antonio Public Library where I used to work. There's also a really nice work at the SA Museum of Art.
Beautiful composition of such wonderful spheres, they look like a mini solar system. An extraordinary adventure are you planning for the solar eclipse in July, hope you get a wonderful and clear day for this kind of experience!

I sure enjoyed this presentation while I was in the area this past winter! I never did get to see it at night lit up..you did a great job with your night photography of this amazing unique blown glass art!
