Chihuly Orbs at Night

Another taste of Chihuly for you! Since we have been taking a lot of night photos lately, I wanted to share this Chihuly glass orbs photo I took at night.

These colorful glass spheres are part of Chihuly: The Nature of Glass Installation currently at the Desert Botanical Gardens. The art exhibition ends May 31, 2009.

You may recognize the green orb at the lower right as the Earth Day Orb I posted on Aril 22 for Earth Day.

Click Chihuly under labels to see more of his gorgeous glass art work.

It's interesting how they seem to be totally different colors at night.

I love Chihuly glass art. We have a huge installation at the San Antonio Public Library where I used to work. There's also a really nice work at the SA Museum of Art.

Beautiful composition of such wonderful spheres, they look like a mini solar system. An extraordinary adventure are you planning for the solar eclipse in July, hope you get a wonderful and clear day for this kind of experience!

The colors pop out in this low and reflective light.
