Frank Lloyd Wright had intimate gardens, beautiful landscapes, and water features integrated into Taliesin West. This photo shows one of the water features. You could barely see this water fountain in the lower left corner of yesterday's post. Wright's desert camp is quite unique and has many surprises.
Frank Lloyd Wright designed many interesting architectural structures in Arizona. For example Wright designed the Gammage auditorium at Arizona State University, which is still actively used for theater and I attend events there regularly. Gammage Auditorium was initially designed to be built on an island in the middle of the Tigris River in Baghdad, Iraq.
Wright designed many houses, churches, including the First Christian Church. In New York he is well known for designing the Guggenheim Museum using a ciruclar design.

So very grateful for that fountain, providing a good without colour, nearly no taste - but essential to live, especially within a desert, which doesn't have to consist only of sand.

The Hamlet of Gordon
We are lucky to have so many of his buildings and houses in our area. I feel lucky that I had the opportunity to visit many places designed by him in Oak Park Illinois and in Wisconsin. Sometime I'd like to see the famous house on the east coast called "Falling Water".

It seems like a place worth visiting. Wright sure was a man of talent.
You're right about surprises. Who would think to design a water fountain that looked like that!
But, it is beautiful!
For a minute in the portal, I thought it was a whimsical alien! :)
This is a lovely clean shape. Very unusual, not seen this type before, will use it in one of my designs!
