Photo: Biosphere 2 Interior

This is a view inside the Biosphere 2, which I have shown the last few days from the outside.  During the time that the facility was conducting is survival experiment for two years in the 1990's, no one and no food or supplies could go in or out of the Biosphere.   That would be contrary to the entire concept, which was to see if the environment could sustain life by itself in a closed environment, without the outside world.

Now that the survival/space colony experiment is over, the facility is open for tours, as additional research continues.

This week we are showing another set of underwater photos from our recent trip to the Galapagos Islands posted on our Viva la Voyage travel photo site.

This was quite an extensive research project. Wonder if any of the data has been useful.
