This is the Packard adorned by the swan hood ornament that I showed yesterday. It is an elegant car, with lots of ornaments hanging on it, such as the headlights, spare tire cover, hood ornament, air scoop on the hood, and even the side view mirror has extra brackets.
My mother reports that my late grandfather used to drive a Packard. He worked for U.S. Steel in Utah. He passed away 16 years ago, but my grandmother is still sharp in her 90's. Too bad they did not hang on to their Packard.
This Packard was a 1940 model.
This week we have photos of an old cemetery and medieval ruin on the Hill of Slane, Ireland, posted on our Viva la Voyage travel photo site.

I am glad that you showed the rest of the car and not just the hood ornament. This is elegant indeed.
That is a gorgeous car!
Great looking car. What a kick that would be to drive around.
This is a big, impressive car. Still, I like the reliability of modern cars. Turn the key, drive without problems.
Love this!!
