Photo: Indian Bend Wash Storm Water Runoff

While taking photos of the horse statues that I have shown the last two days, the water streaming down Indian Bend Wash started to flow over the concrete abutment that achieves a drop in elevation from the McCormick Ranch Golf Course to carry water runoff under Indian Bend Road.

The bridge over the wash at Indian Bend Road, which is at the left of this photo, has red stripes to mark how high the water runoff is flowing.  During the 15 or 20 minutes of taking photos, the water rose to about 4 or 5 feet (1.2-1.5 meters) deep rushing under the bridge.

Today is Sunday, so we have new photos posted on our Viva la Voyage travel photo site.  This week we are showing photos of Cabra Castle, a castle hotel about an hour northwest of Dublin, Ireland.  If you have not stayed in a castle, you are invited to come take a look.

It is a good thing they have added the bridge, otherwise people would be driving across the road as water crosses it.
