Photo: French architecture in Phoenix

We have a lot of Spanish and Mexican architecture in the Scottsdale/Phoenix area.  Tuscan architecture is popular, particularly for new houses.  But there is not very much French-inspired architecture.

I will tomorrow show a wider view that reveals what building, and why, there is a Mansard roof in Phoenix.

How suprising! And Mansart who "invented" les mansardes was the builder of Versailles...
