Photo: Lighted artificial cactus

Here is yet another view of the lighted cacti around one of the fountains at the Scottsdale Waterfront.

Too bad real cacti do not have spikes that loop around like this.  It would avoid a lot of the pain and aggravation of brushing up against desert plants.

It would also give peace of mind to my mother.  She feels like she has to supervise her dog in my back yard because she evidently thinks her dog is not smart enough to stay away from plants with thorns.

This week we have photos of the wildlife and people of Tanzania posted on our Viva la Voyage travel photo site.

These would make cactus a lot easier to tolerate.

There are many times I have wished a cactus had spike turned inward.
