Snow on an agave

Agave plants are well adapted to the desert, as their leaves catch the rain and funnel it into the center of the plant.

Three days ago, the agave in our yard gathered the rare snowfall that fell in Scottsdale, as shown in this photo.

I don't think you had to use a snow shovel after this snowfall.

Hopefully the snow was so short-lived that it didn't hurt any of the plants.

Beautiful shot. What a difference a day makes. We have sunshine and temp. of 65 today.
