Photo: P.F. Chang's Rock & Roll Marathon

Here is another portion of the P.F. Chang's Rock & Roll Marathon.  They call it the Rock & Roll Marathon because they have rock music playing throughout the course.

In previous years, they had a bunch of stages set up with rock bands playing along the race route.  This year, they changed the format, as I will show in the next few days.

The newspaper yesterday said that they had 23,500 runners.  This photo was taken on Camelback Road near the very end of the runners.

This we we are showing photos of some scenes of the people, markets, and scenery of Tanzania on our  Viva la Voyage travel photo site.

23,500 runners is indeed impressive.

They used to have a band on the corner near my house but I didn't hear it this year.

They had a great day for it.

Most of the runners do the half marathon. In years past they billed it as the largest attended marathon/half marathon in the US. I've done the half 3 times and the full once. It truly is a fun time for the runners.
