Photo: State Fair at Sunset

It is time for the Arizona State Fair.  This  photo shows the State Fairgrounds at sunset, with the White Tank Mountains west of Phoenix in the background.  The high vantage point to capture both the fair and the sunset on the horizon was made possible by the fact that my office is on the 23rd floor of a Central Avenue office building about two miles away.

I do enjoy having views of the sunset across the valley from my desk, even when the State Fair is not highlighting the foreground.

This week we are showing photos of the main temple complex of Bangkok, Thailand on our Viva la Voyage travel photo site.

This is an unusual photo, looking down on a ferris wheel.

It reminds me of the photo you took in Chicago at night from the top of the John Hancock Building looking down on the ferris wheel at Navy Pier.

I've been wanting to get some night shots at the fair and you beat me to it. But, you certainly have a birds eye view from your windows at the office. I wouldn't have thought of that.
