Photo: Picking out Plants at the Desert Botanical Garden

This photo answers the question of what happens to my husband when I am picking out plants at the Desert Botanical Garden and when I give him access to my computers.  He takes a little point-and-shoot camera out of his pocket, takes a photo of me, and posts it on my website.

This photo also illustrates something that I mentioned in yesterday's post.  I am loading up two shopping carts full of flowering desert plants to replace some of the flowering tropical plants in our yard.

We picked out 5 shopping carts of plants.  The plants that you see in these two carts will replace the hibiscus in our yard, which have struggled and require lots of water. They are a new hybrid plant called Bells of Fire and grow only to about 5 feet in height.

Here is another question raised by this photo.  Why isn't Dave putting the camera back in his pocket and helping me carry all these plants?

This week we have photos of Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia posted on our Viva la Voyage travel photo site.

i was not helping you pick out and load the plants into the cart so I would save my energy to unload and water the plants when we got back to the house.
