Photo: Corks & Cactus Wine Tasting

Here is another angle of one of the wine sampling stations at the Corks ^ Cactus event at the Desert Botanical Gardens.

I did not realize that the ticket that I bought on line was good for both Friday evening and Saturday afternoon.  For the afternoon wine samples, there were more white wines and sparkling wines, as you see here, because it was still very warm outside.  On Friday evening, there were more red wines being offered, which we would have preferred.

Despite that little mixup, there were plenty of wines to sample, and they were specially and reasonably priced.  Next year we will know to go on both days of the event.

This week we are showing photos of Tanzania, Africa, on our Viva la Voyage travel photo site.

I think the lesson from this experience is that it is beneficial to read the details when buying tickets on line.

I'm sorry I missed this event but so glad I got to taste this wine at your house. Delicious.
