Theme Day: People Watching
Today's worldwide City Daily Photo Theme is "People Watching." This is what I hope will be a somewhat unusual interpretation of the theme. This is a photo of the shadow of my husband at sunrise overlooking Monument Valley. We went there is past Christmas. It was cold, as you can tell from Dave's knit cap.
We stayed at The View Lodge, built by the Navajo Nation a few years ago. It provides view from each room. We set up our tripods on our balcony so we could take photos of Monument Valley at sunrise, sunset and in the middle of the night, all from the comfort of our room. We went on excursions into the Valley during the day.
Today is Sunday, so we have new photos posted on our Viva la Voyage travel photo site. This week we are showing another set of photos from my recent river raft trip through the Grand Canyon.

Really good choice for this theme day, really well done!
I like watching other photographers working at any time Julie, this is such a good idea for today's theme.
The color in the background sets this off nicely. It really in the color of Monument Valley.
Lovely take on the theme!
Nice one Julie.
Dave takes lots of photos of you photographing so it's perfect for you to take some of him at the craft. Very nice.
It was worth getting up early in the cold only for this photo!
Very clever. At first I thought it was a silhouette. The shadow is more cool! :-)
Really cool shot. Love the color and contrast.
Yes, I thought it was a silhouette at first too. Very cool as a shadow. You make me want to visit Monument valley, too.
Terrific contribution to the Theme Day collection. Always wanted to see what Dave looks like :>)
Wonderful picture of the essence of a blogger.
Please have you all a good new month ahead.
Great theme day choice..
Cool photo for Theme Day.

very good interpretation of the theme ! :)
Fantastic entry, Julie! Love both the silhouette and the background colour.
Always a treat to see how other photographers treat a subject.
Oh, I like this interpretation! Very creative.
Quite unusual, indeed. But really original, I must say. Well done!
