Photo: Scottsdale Farmer's Market

Here is another photo from the Farmer's Market, held each Saturday morning in the parking lot at 1st Street and Brown and downtown Scottsdale.   People like the local produce and other products.

This week we are showing photos of the bottom of the Grand Canyon on our Viva la Voyage travel photo site.

I immediately recognized the heirloom tomatoes in the One Windmill Farm boxes. I used to buy them every week when I lived in Phoenix and went to Roadrunner Park's farmers market. They were late every single week in arriving and were never set up in time for opening but they had the biggest selection of fruits and veggies in the whole market and I for one would wait patiently, even though grumbling, for them to get ready. That moment was like the ringing bell of the opening of the stock market!

Kathy's comment is interesting. There is indeed another farmer's market at Roadrunner Park.

It might be my imagination but, the tomatoes taste better from the Farmer's Market.
