Photo: Balloons against the first morning light

Our balloon pilot flew high, as demonstrated by this photo, looking far down on the other balloons and the hilltops that are catching the first rays of the rising sun.

This was the third hot air balloon flight that Dave and I have taken.  We previously flew in the Loire Valley, France, and the Serengeti, Tanzania.  We had signed up for flights in the Australian outback and the Sonoma, California wine country, but both were cancelled due to the weather.  In Arizona, the morning weather is certainly predictable.

This week we are showing photos of the colors of Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, on our Viva la Voyage travel photo site.

The small size of the balloons below does illustrate how high our pilot rose at the beginning of the flight. He also flew quite low, as I presume you will show in the coming days.
