Photo: The "Nose" of Camelback Mountain

This photo shows the western tip of Camelback Mountain, which I have called its nose.  As you can see, there is a house that straddles the crest of the rocky ridge, so they wil have views in both directions.

This area is called Echo Canyon and there is a hiking trail that goes to the top of  Camelback.  The trail is so popular that the parking lot is often full, and residents in this area do not like hikers parking along residential streets, lots of the streets are marked with no parking signs.

Today is Sunday, so we have new photos on our Viva la Voyage travel photo site. This week we are showing some additional photos of the remarkable temples of Siem Reap, Cambodia, of which Angkor Wat is the most famous.

They now offer shuttle service from the Paradise Valley Town Hall parking lot on the weekends. I was there once and saw the shuttle leave with several hikers who parked at the town hall parking lot.

There must be a driveway on the other side, as I do not see any way to get up to the house on the ridge line from this side.
