This is a view of the Arizona State University Activities Center, taken from an airplane, flying into Phoenix's Sky Harbor Airport. ASU appears to have anticipated that people would be looking down on campus as they are flying into town, as they put the university's logo right on the roof in the middle of lots of solar panels.
I have two degrees from ASU. It is a huge, diverse university. It is a very important economic engine for the state. We do not have many private colleges in Arizona, so the state universities provide educational opportunities for our residents, but also have many programs to foster economic development. One of those is ASU's heavy investments in solar energy.
We we have photos of the bottom of the Grand Canyon this week on our Viva la Voyage travel photo site.
